Ohio State, Michigan, and a bunch of overrated crap. Thats how Furls sums up the current state of the union of college football. Furls Power 15 experienced it's biggest shakeup of the year this week, with new teams in the number 3, 4, and 5 holes. The full rankings are enclosed.

1.  Ohio State (No Movement):  The Buckeyes continue to display that there is only one relevant team in college football.  While the rest of the NCAA continues to stumble, the Buckeyes continue to efficiently dispose of its competition.

2.  Michigan (No Movement):  The Wolverines, like the Buckeyes, continue to get it done.  Last week's win cost "That School Up North" Mario Manningham for a month, but as long as they can survive this week in Happy Valley it should not matter.  Penn State this week is a serious threat.  Last year Ohio State saw first hand how difficult it can be to play there at night.

3.  Florida (up 6):  I guess I should've stuck with my first assessment here.  I had Florida ranked over LSU, but then ranked the Tigers above the Gators last week, just in time for a dose of humility.  The Gators looked pretty impressive while disposing of the Tigers, but I am still unsold (on everyone outside of my top two).

4.  Texas (up 7):  'Horns skyrocket up my poll based on a strong performance against a predictable Oklahoma team.  Colt McCoy looks to have improved a great deal since the Ohio State game.

5.  California (up 8): Is it possible that this year's odd on favorite for the Crash and Burn award continues to look strong in October?  Last week's impressive thrashing of the Oregon Ducks has me sold, maybe that first week disaster at Tennessee was just butterflies.  I am sure I will get some grief for ranking them over the Vols, but I sincerely believe that Cal would win a rematch.

6.  USC (down 3):  The Trojans have looked unimpressive for a while and I am guessing they will finish their schedule with two losses, one to Cal and one to an as of yet to be decided scrub, but they are still better than...

7.  Tennessee (up 3):  After a strong performance against Georgia it looks like Fulmer's Boys may actually be pretty good.  The success of Florida this year helps to add credibility to a tough loss at home to the Gators.

8.  West Vagina (No movement):  I am running out of teams that I can rank in front of them with a straight face.  The Mountaineers (is that a nice way of saying Hill-Billy?) are the prime beneficiaries of the amount of apathy, I refuse to call this parity, displayed at the top of the polls.

9.  Clemson (up 2):  This team continues to hang tough.  Their only loss?  A one point defeat at the hands of gritty BC team on the road.  A team that coincidentally is ranked...

10.  Boston College (Returning to the polls):  I know they beat Clemson man up and are still ranked behind them, but a bad loss to NCSU will have that effect.  If that game is played in Death Valley, Clemson wins.

11.  Auburn (down a lot): They were pounded by a suddenly very good Arkansas team.  It is becoming more apparent that the big win against LSU showed them to be the least crappy of two mediocre teams.

12.  Notre Dame (new):  As much as I hate to do it, I have to add "Fat Bastard's" boys.  This is not a statement of how good they are, but how poor the rest of the middle of the pack is playing.  If they had some defense they would be dangerous.  Don't get me wrong, Brady Quinn is overrated and Smard...whatever is still slow.

13.  Georgia Tech (new):  Aside from a poor game against the Irish, GaTech has looked pretty tough.  They play good defense, and it appears they have finally found a good gameplan; throw the ball to Calvin Johnson.

14.  Nebraska (No Movement):  Still surviving on the poll, but I am looking for a replacement.

15.  Louisville (New):  Someone had to replace Georgia and there really aren't a lot of options.  I struggled whether to take the Cardinals or Navy, we'll see.  I think the Middies may get their shot here shortly.
