The first week of the NCAA tournaments results are in, and in case you weren't paying attention ... it was not a very kind weekend for the Big Ten. As a matter of fact, if you listened to any of the talking heads, you would think that Big Ten (and the ACC) were no better than the mid majors. Heck, after the first weekend of the tournament, the Big Ten, ACC, and Horizon conferences all have the same number of teams remaining, one. Down nine with a little over three minutes left, the Buckeyes were dead and buried. I actually spit at my TV. Then, the improbable happened ... as the Buckeyes made a majestic comeback, capped off by a Ron Lewis three ball at the horn to send the game into overtime. And in overtime, it was the Mike Conley Jr. show. As Furls notes in his latest column, it feels weird being on that side of an amazing and improbable win. What a game.

March Madness week is finally here, and it couldn't have been ushered in any better than by yesterday afternoon's thoroughly enjoyable ass whoopin' of the third ranked Badgers for the Big Ten title.
