Rich SwerbinskyExactly three months from today, Cavaliers season begins. Wednesday, November 1st, 8:00 PM from The Q. It is one of 33 nationally televised games, and is on ESPN versus the Wizards, who had their jugular sliced by a Damon Jones OT three ball in game six of the two teams first round playoff series. All the rest of the Cavs schedule, and some drive by analysis is enclosed.

Rich SwerbinskyAdvertising Age magazine recently did a story on LeBron and his three buddies that are now running the LBJ Empire. The column hits on their quest to make LeBron a "global icon" by 8/8/08, the day he gets over to Bejing for the Olympics. They talk about aligning LeBron with financial services companies, high end automobile makers, and making LeBron the first "billion dollar athlete". Rich SwerbinskyFree agency is now 17 days in, and the Cavs have yet to do anything besides reup LeBron, while each of their division rivals has already added a significant piece. It appears that the Drew Gooden situation could be coming to a head, which could cause a chain reaction of moves for the Cavs and GM Danny Ferry.

Rich SwerbinskyThe Flip Murray Era came to an end here in CTown, as the diminutive shooting guard signed with the Pistons to back up Chauncey Billups and Rip Hamilton. Flip gave us a nice shot in the arm in the absence of Larry Hughes, but his days officially became numbered here when the team drafted Shannon Brown.
