Tonight, for the first time in a long time, we have a Super Fight ... as "Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather and "The Golden Boy" Oscar De La Hoya get it on from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The two former US Olympians have won a combined 14 championship belts and are two of the biggest stars the sport has seen in the past couple decades. When it comes to fighting, there are few on the planet that know the sport better than my cousin Scott ... who chimes in with the preview.

Every so often a fight comes around where I actually get goosebumps thinking about it. Floyd Mayweather vs Oscar De La Hoya is one of those fights.

Saturday, live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, we have our first true "Super Fight" in some time. In all honesty, I thought this fight would never happen. It seemed too good to be true in a sport that has not been able to make a lot of fights that it should.

Floyd Mayweather is the pound for pound king of the sport. His brash attitude and lightning quick hands are something you have to stop and pay attention to. He brings in a perfect 37-0 record with 24 of those victories being knockouts. He has dominated his opponents with crisp punches and well above average defense. The speed of Mayweather prevents him from taking any shots that will do damage. He is easily one of the best all around fighters I have had the chance to watch.

"Pretty Boy" Floyd's opponent will easily be his toughest of his career.

Oscar De La Hoya is the biggest name and most watched fighter going today. Oscar brings in a 38-4 record with 30 knockouts. He has won titles in six different weight classes ranging from 130 to 160 pounds. The fight with Mayweather will be his 28th title fight. The resume he has is a who's who in boxing.

The biggest challenge for Oscar De La Hoya is going to be his 20 month layoff from the sport. It's tough enough going that long and then having a tune-up fight, but to face the best fighter in the world???

Mayweather seems to have no flaws and gets better with every fight. He also has wanted to fight De La Hoya for a few years now. Not only has he called Oscar names but he goes out of his way to insult him and that has gotten the attention of the "Golden Boy".

I look for this fight to be action packed and very fast paced. If De La Hoya is able to push Floyd around, he will stay in the match and have a very good shot at winning. I think Mayweather is going to use his speed as he always does and wear down the older Oscar. I normally wouldn't expect Floyd to look for a knockout but I think it will be on his mind for this megafight. If he uses the speed and skills that he has, it might not be out of the question.

All that being said, Oscar De La Hoya seems more motivated than ever to win. He wants to shut up Floyd Mayweather Jr. once and for all. There is no doubting the fact Oscar has the skills to win. I just don't know if he has been busy enough as a fighter to pull it off.

The fight world is in for a true show when these two world class fighters step into the squared circle to faceoff. It might be awhile before we see two guys, this good, taking each other on.

To me, this is must see TV and I'm look forward to watching.
