The biggest fight in the history of the UFC. Champion versus champion. Two of the top three or four fighters pound for pound in the world today. UFC 94 has all of that plus much much more. The MGM Grand in Las Vegas is home to one of the best fight cards top to bottom that my cousin remember. The main event between welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and lightweight title holder BJ Penn is taking place at the 170 pound limit. Our fight doctor previews that fight and the rest of the event for our readers.

The biggest fight in the history of the UFC. Champion versus champion. Two of the top three or four fighters pound for pound in the world today. UFC 94 has all of that plus much much more.

The MGM Grand in Las Vegas is home to one of the best fight cards top to bottom that I remember.  Many of the fights tonight have potential to be exciting and crowd pleasers.

The main event between welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and lightweight title holder BJ Penn is taking place at the 170 pound limit. GSP currently holds the belt there and BJ held it in the past.

In my opinion, St. Pierre and Penn are the two best fighters in the world today. They are so skilled in every aspect of the mma game it is scary. This will be the second meeting between these fighters. GSP won a close decision back at UFC 58 in 2006.

Both guys are in the prime of their careers and that is why this might be the biggest fight in UFC history. Add in the fact that there is a lot of thrash talk going and and it's going to be a classic. BJ Penn has called GSP a quitter and a heartless from the loss that he suffered against Matt Serra. St. Pierre answered back claiming that Penn doesn't know what it's like to earn anything because he has been handed everything.

Neither guy has a big advantage in any aspect of the fight game. When you get two of the best fighters possibly that we ever seen, it's hard to expect what we will see. There is a good chance that it will be a five round war. It also could end by knockout in the first round.  This is easily the most excited that I have been for a fight.

The rest of the card is loaded also, let's take a look at some of the key matches: 

Lyoto Machida vs Thiago Silva

Both of these light heavyweight contenders come into the octagon with career records of 13-0. Somebody's O has got to go. I like the aggressiveness of Silva against the counter attack of Machida. If Machida has his way, it will go to the judge's cards as he has a style that many people don't care for, including myself. I hope to see Silva's trademark throat slash at the end of this one.

Nate Diaz vs Clay Guida

Two of the most active fighters in the 155 pound division. This just might be the show stealer. Both guys love to push the pace and are cardio machines. Guida is the best fighter Diaz has been in with and a win tonight would cement him as a legit threat in the division. Diaz is a guy I love to watch and think he will stay undefeated in the UFC.

Stephan Bonnar vs Jon Jones

Bonnar is back after a long layoff from an injury and suspension. Many observers think he has the tools to become champion in the light heavyweight division one day. Jones is more of a submission fighter and will look to go to the ground. I'm thinking upset here and like Jones in his second fight in the octagon.

What a fight card that the UFC has put together for Super Bowl weekend. I truly believe that is the best card ever assembled and every fight is a must see. The main event alone is worth the price of a ticket or a pay per view. Ten total fights, what a treat.

GSP vs BJ Penn. It's going to be electric inside the MGM Grand and I can't wait for the octagon door to close.
