Turning in his second straight 20+ point scoring effort and another defensive gem of a game, Norris Cole led the Cleveland State Vikings to a 59-50 win over the Wright State Raiders last night at the Wolstein Center. It was a weird game, with some violent ebbs and flows, but the Vikes prevailed to get their 6th win in Horizon League play. Jay Pearlman recaps the win.

Returning home last night from a winless three-game road trip at 4-5 in the Horizon League, the pre-season favorite Cleveland State Vikings welcomed the second most disappointing team in the league into Wolstein Arena, the 0-9 University of Detroit Titans. The Vikes got things back on track with a 66-49 win, and Jay Pearlman recaps the win for our readers in his latest piece.

Ryan AroneyCleveland State plays only one game this week and it's a nationally-televised contest at Horizon League rival Youngstown State and the ESPNU cameras figure to draw out the largest crowd of the season for the Penguins. CSU (13-7, 4-4) is coming off a disappointing road trip into Wisconsin that saw the Vikings drop two straight. They'll look to right the ship Friday night before lots of eyes, both at the Beeghly Center, and on the ESPN family of networks. Ryan Aroney previews the contest for us.

Even after a brutal oh-for-Wisconsin weekend last week, coming into last night's game at Youngstown State it was all set up for Cleveland State. No, the preseason Horizon favorites weren't going to catch Butler for the regular season Horizon crown; nor will anyone else. But with Green Bay and Milwaukee both picking up losses two nights ago, the table was set for CSU to position themselves for the #2 seed in the conference tournament. Alas, it was not to be.
