tigerwoods2The whole Tiger Woods cheating episode that bridged Friday night into Saturday morning this past weekend reminded me so much of Kramer's confrontation with former major league ballplayer Steve Genderson over the improper cleaning of the golf ball during a round. Its outcome may have spurred Genderson to commit murder but it most certainly prompted Elaine to ask why Kramer was such a stickler for such a silly rule. Kramer says "a rule is a rule. Let's face it. Without rules, there's chaos."

Mitch CyrusAfter dropping out of a Saturday morning tie for the lead by shooting a 3 over 74 in the third round, Kenny Perry bounced back magnificently on Sunday, quickly taking advantage of the fading 54 hole leader Mathew Googin to charge back to the front on the early in the round, and then holding on to win by two over Goggin, Mike Weir, Jerry Kelly, Justin Rose. The win was Perry’s third in Jack Nicklaus’ tournament, tying him with Tiger Woods for the most wins at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio. The Mitch Man recaps Perry's win at Jack's majestic golf course.

Rich SwerbinskyMan, how things have changed since I was a kid. The United States of America cannot win anything in international competitions anymore. Our basketball team just recieved their latest annual embarrassment at the World Games. Our baseball team was a miserable flop at the World Baseball Classic. Our soccer team? Let's not even go there. Rich SwerbinskyCaptain Tom Lehman finished off his US Ryder Cup team with the announcement of captain's selections Stewart Cink and Scott Verplank (pictured). The two veterans join an otherwise inexperienced US Ryder Cup squad that many are calling the weakest in recent history. I've got my analysis on the team, and the United States prospects for the '06 Ryder Cup, which commences on September 22nd from The K Club in Dublin, Ireland.
