Eastern Michigan might not be the worst team in major college football- Western Kentucky makes a very persuasive argument for that title- but if they aren’t it doesn’t take long to call the roll. So it’s not surprising that Ohio State made mincemeat of the Artists Formerly Known as the Hurons last Saturday in the Horseshoe.

What is surprising is the magnitude of the victory. In slaughtering their hapless visitors 73-20, the Buckeyes ran up their highest single-game point total in sixty years. Six Buckeyes scored ten touchdowns, led by Dane Sanzenbacher who had a game for the ages; Terrelle Pryor got into the end zone by land and by air; three different players, including a running back, threw touchdown passes, and a total of 22 players gained yardage either by running the ball or catching it. It was truly a day for star and scout-teamer alike.

The BCeStimation is a weekly column that predicts which 10 teams will make it to the Orange Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Fiesta Bowl, Rose Bowl and National Championship game. The name of the column was thought of by me, which means I'm awesome at naming things. Let's carry on.

Before we get started, how about a round of applause for the UCLA Bruins. They did me the favor of exposing Texas and sparing me the embarrassment of picking them for this article any longer. In truth, I should have seen the signs; the defense was playing well, but the offense was struggling to find its identity without Colt McCoy. The running game hasn't come along the way Mac Brown wanted it to, and all of this adds up to an embarrassing home loss to UCLA. I can admit when I'm wrong, and I was very, very wrong about Texas. So this is the BCeStimation's official break up with the Longhorns. All I need to do now is send them a compilation of sassy Beyonce songs that sing about getting off my lawn before the sprinklers turn on.

If you want to see who replaced Texas in this week's article (I'll give you a hint -- it's not Oklahoma), all you have todo is continue reading... because that's how articles work.

Dane_EMUTerrelle Pryor accounted for six touchdowns, including four touchdown passes to Dane Sanzenbacher, as the 2nd-ranked Buckeyes ran their record to 4-0 with a 73-20 rout of the defenseless Eagles of Eastern Michigan on a perfect fall Saturday in Columbus.

Pryor bolted for a 53-yard touchdown on OSU's third offensive play, and then hooked up with Sanzenbacher four times before finishing off his day with a 20-yard TD reception on a pass from tailback Jordan Hall. Pryor and Sanzenbacher each tied OSU records for touchdowns in a game, as the Buckeyes scoring total was the highest ever for a Jim Tressel team at Ohio State.

Eastern Michigan (0-4, 0-2) proved to be more adept on offense than anyone expected, throwing the ball effectively down the middle of the field against a youthful OSU secondary, scoring more touchdowns against the first-team Buckeye defense than that group had given up in their three previous games combined.

As expected though, the outcome was never in doubt after Ohio State scored the game's first 24 points in the first quarter. Pryor's offensive output may have vaulted him to the forefront of the Heisman conversation, despite the relative haplessness of the opposition. OSU's junior quarterback finished the game 20 for 26 passing, for 224 yards and 4 TD's. He added 104 yards rushing on seven carries, with one rushing touchdown, and no sacks or interceptions.

Ohio Stadium, Columbus, Ohio

Eastern Michigan at Ohio State

3:30 p.m. (ET)

TV: ABC (Regional)

The Buckeyes are hosting the Eagles of Eastern Michigan University on Saturday at the Horseshoe...and some people are asking why. It really doesn't seem sporting. Ohio State (3-0, 0-0) is ranked 2nd in the nation, and EMU is winless in three 2010 games, and 0-15 since the beginning of last season under former Michigan assistant Ron English.

Of course the game has been on the schedule for a few years, since before the current streak of haplessness began in Ypsilanti. Jim Tressel tries to keep the paydays close to home with a non-conference schedule heavy with MAC opponents, and he has two MAC teams on the slate this year, as OSU does most years. A big chunk of the MAC is in Michigan....Ohio State has never played the Eagles before....and it's just EMU's turn to pick up a paycheck in Columbus.  So that's why.

But if you like competitive football, you might want to clean out the gutters Saturday afternoon...or, rather than do anything that rash, just switch to Alabama-Arkansas.

There wasn't a whole lot of movement from week two to week three, but I still have plenty to talk about.
The Pac 10 had a surprisingly good week, and at the expense of the Big Ten in most cases. Arizona notched a huge win over Iowa despite a late rally by Ricky Stanzi and the Hawkeyes. USC went on the road and got a victory over Big Ten opponent Minnesota, but that's about as useful to this article as a well executed shotgun snap in Florida (LOL center-exchange burn!). The Arkansas Razorbacks are knock, knock, knocking on heavens door, and with a strong performance against Alabama this coming week, they could make their first appearance in the BCeStimaton. I realize that I just compared this article to heaven... I promise to work on some better analogies moving forward.

Let's dive into the predictions...
