Title Game Hopes Return To Columbus

Another impressive Buckeye win, and another shocking upset of a team ranked ahead of them. The Buckeyes went into West Lafayette last night and thoroughly dominated previously unbeaten Purdue on their home turf, letting a shutout slip away late as the Boilers scored a late meaningless TD. As this was happening, 1-3 Stanford scored a late TD of their own, this one enough to knock off #1 ranked USC on their own field. Preview: Buckeyes at Purdue

The Buckeyes have an interesting matchup tonight, traveling to West Lafayette, Indiana for a 8 PM tilt with the undefeated and nationally ranked Purdue Boilermakers. Both teams are 5-0. Both teams have been untested to this point. Tonight's game will be a solid barometer of where these two contenders for the Big Ten title are at ... and Furls previews the game for here this morning.

Greasy, Grimy, Gopher Guts

Furls isn't sure that Buckeye fans got the helping of Gopher guts that they craved last night, but on a day that saw five of the top ten teams in the nation fall, things could have been much worse. Furls says that fans have been overlooking this years Buckeyes as a title contender, and the team should be ranked #4 in the nation when the new polls come out tomorrow. Euthanized Wildcats

We came. We saw. We kicked their butts. Simply put, yesterday's Buckeyes - Northwestern game as what I like to call a "good 'ole country whoopin". Man, I was out running a couple errands, didn't get home till like 3:45 ... and it was already 28-0. As you all know by now, Furls is our Buckeye guy, and combines a deft display of intellect and wit in informing us all about our warriors in the scarlet and gray. He has some fun with this game wrap. GO BROWNS!
