The Furls Power 15

With three weeks of college football in the books, many of the contenders have been validated, and many of the pretenders (cough ... Notre Dame) have been exposed. We now have a pretty good idea of who the teams are that will be vying for the national championship come early 2007. In his latest, Furls ranks the contenders in his own power rankings ... which are absent of many of the politics of the national polls.

Cincinnati Schmincinnati

I knew we would handle Cincinnati this week. The Bearcats that is. Mike Furlan and most of the rest of the free world knew it as well. In his weekly wrapup of the Buckeyes last game, Furls grades the team position by position. And then grades himself on what he predicted in his preview piece. Next up? That wily old coot Joe Pa.

In his weekly college football wrapup column, Cris Sykes breaks down what went down on Separation Saturday yesterday. There were some great games and some suprise outcomes, including Michigan going into South Bend and laying an ass whooping on Jabba The Weis, Pretty Boy Quinn, and the rest of the Irish. Sykes also updates his Heisman ballot, adding a couple of new names on there courtesy of yesterdays action.

Preview: Ohio State - Cincinnati

The Buckeyes are 29 point favorites today, but all Ohio State fans remember the fight the Bearcats gave us the year we won the national championship. Also, Jim Tressel former defensive coordinator Mark Dantonio is UC's coach, and will have a good idea how to game plan against the Bucks today. Furls is here with his Saturday morning preview of todays game.

In his weekly wrap of the weekend that was in college football, Cris Sykes starts out by hitting on the Buckeyes big win in Austin. Sykes goes on to point out that it was a tough week for the rest of the Big 10, but a big week for some big name QBs' across the country. He also hits on the developing Heisman race, and an upcoming week three slate of matchups that are enough to make any football fan salivate.
