Gary BenzIn Gary Benz's latest effort, he takes a look back at the Cavs run to the Finals and admits it was hard to see this coming.  Like the Indians pennant in 1995 or the Buckeyes National Championship in 2002, the Cavs victory over the Pistons represents both a historical footing and a context for all that comes next.  Hopefully what's next is a victory celebration on Public Square in about two weeks.

John HnatAbsolutely amazing. The Cavaliers are going to the NBA Finals. Yes, that's right. The Cavs. The Finals. Capping a thrilling series, the wine and gold absolutely blew the game wide open in the final stanza behind 19 fourth quarter points from Daniel "Boobie" Gibson and cruised to a 98-82 win to finish off the Pistons, hopefully for good. It was an absolute mob scene before, during, and after this one last night ... and our main man John Hnat is here to help us relive the greatest win in Cavaliers franchise history. Bring on Eva!

Erik CassanoIn May 2003, the Cavs were a franchise in shambles. They hadn't made the playoffs since 1998, which was the last time they finished over .500. Their recent draft history was absolutely abysmal. Then the ping-pong balls poked holes in the clouds, and for the first time in ages, everything bounced Cleveland's way. And it's only beginning. Cleveland, for the first time ever, is becoming a basketball town.
