The trade that was the Cavs send Kevin Johnson, Tyrone Corbin, Mark West, and draft picks to the Phoenix Suns for Larry Nance and Mike Sanders. The deal benefitted both teams greatly, morphing both into top tier contenders for half a decade. Gary BenzAs the Cleveland Cavaliers approach the All Star break, they are on pace to win 48 games, two less than last year. Presumably, if the chat boards and sports talk shows are any gauge, this would be a major disappointment. But the real question is whether this disappointment is based on unreasonable self-inflicted high expectations or if it objectively indicates a step back.

John HnatThis game was one of those that made you want to run to the drug store and buy some razor blades. For your wrists. While Hughes had arguably his best game of the season, and Varejao showed he just may be a starter, Hnat believes last night's game should have shown us (if we didn't already know it) that a point guard makes all the difference in the world.
