Scott SwerbinskyCarlos Condit is currently the World Extreme Cagefighting Welterweight Champion. The 170 pound title holder who fights out of Albuquerque, New Mexico is considered one of the most feared fighters in the world. His pro career began at the age of 18. Condit, now 24 years old, owns a 21-4 record in mixed martial arts with wins over the likes of Frank Trigg, John Alessio, and Brock Larson.  My cuz had a chance to talk to him this week.

Scott SwerbinskyLast night in Atlantic City, Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik did exactly what he was supposed to do. He simply destroyed an outclassed Gary Lockett and improved his unbeaten record to 34-0 with 30 knockouts.  The performance was absolutely dominating, with Kelly dishing out constant punishment, wrecking Lockett's face until his trainer threw in the towel.  The win opens up all kinds of options for Kelly, including a potential fight with Joe Calzaghe.  My cousin recaps the beating.

Scott SwerbinskyLive from the O2 Arena in London at 3 PM EST Saturday, UFC 85 "Bedlam" is appropriately named. The main event was scratched. The co-feature was changed around because a fighter got a DUI. Matt Hughes and Thiago Alves are now the main event. The old versus the new. The all time great welterweight king taking on a true up and coming star. Everything is good right? Not exactly. Alves failed to make the 170 pound weight limit. The fight is still on however and both sides agreed to it and it will take place at a catch weight of 174 pounds. My cousin previews the card.

Scott SwerbinskySaturday night in Atlantic City, Youngstown's own Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik will make his first middleweight title defense. The champ will step in with mandatory challenger Gary Lockett in a fight that will be televised by HBO. Who exactly is Gary Lockett? Not too many people really know. He's 30-1 with 21 KO's, and almost all of those wins coming against fighters that American boxing fans have never heard of. Does Kelly have anything to worry about tonight? My cousin previews the fight.
