UFC 141 has come and gone and so has the career of Brock Lesnar. The majority of the card was a letdown to me as I had very very high hopes and was left a little unsatisfied.

Brock Lesnar was exposed for what he really is by Alistair Overeem. The so called “Baddest Man on the Planet” was yet again destroyed by a true heavyweight contender, and after the fight Lesnar himself said he was done.

Tonight we have a rare Friday night pay per view event being put on by The Ultimate Fighting Championship. The MGM Grand in Las Vegas is the host to the card that will put a cap on 2011. It’s been a great year to be a mixed martial arts fan and tonight should be the icing on the cake.

I’m sure I have said this many times before and pretty sure I’ll say it again in the future, but there are three unbelievable fights tonight, must see scraps in my humble opinion.

UFC 140 has come and gone and what a night it was. There were great and very unexpected endings that will have people talking about this fight card for awhile.

The main event saw light heavyweight champion Jon Jones keep his title after facing a tough test in Lyoto Machida. Jones choked Machida to sleep in the second round with a standing guillotine. Machida went completely limp and Jones showed he can win in a variety of ways.

Toronto, Ontario, Canada is the home for UFC 140 which takes place tonight from the Air Canada Centre. 2011 is closing out and The Ultimate Fighting Championship is putting the finishing touches on what has been a great year in the world of mixed martial arts.

UFC 139 went down last night in San Jose, California and what a great show it was. The main event might have been the best fight ever and a crowd favorite earned another title shot in the near future.

 

Dan Henderson and Shogun Rua capped off a solid night of mixed martial arts action with an instant classic. While it wasn’t the most technical fight I have ever seen, it was back and forth and action packed.
