John HnatHmmm, where have we seen this before? Cavs get out to early lead at home over team they should handle. Cavs let said team back into game. LeBron James takes over late and seals the win in a game that shouldn't have ever been close in the first place. Now lets see if the Cavs can end their struggles in back to back games, and go into Chicago tonight and get a win over the Bulls. Johnnie Hnat is here with another great recap, making us all wonder who Branson Wright had to blackmail to get his job with the PD on the Cavs beat.

John HnatThe Cavs played great defense last night, controlling their game at Atlanta from wire to wire, shutting down Joe Johnson in the process. The resurgence of Big Z continued, as did the season long scoreless drought between Newble and Pollard, which is getting pretty fun to track. Erik CassanoIn his latest, Papa Cass performs a case study of Romeo Crennel and Mike Brown, both second year head coaches with defensive backgrounds. Offense is foreign to Crennel and Brown. Neither speaks the language, neither has a history of coaching offense, neither has ever shown much interest in offense prior to becoming a head coach. Now that they are head coaches, they have kind of been forced to look offense in the eye. And they have no idea what they are staring at.

John HnatIn a pathetic effort that left the home crowd booing, the Cavs stumbled to a 87-71 loss against the Detroit Pistons, in the first match-up between the two teams since their memorable playoff series last May. The Cavs continue to perform miserably in back to backs, and left no question that they still have alot of work to do before considered among the East's elite teams. Johnnie H is frustrated, which clearly shows in todays column.

John HnatThe Cavs fell to 3-8 on the road last night, losing 113-111 to Jersey in a game that featured less defense than your average Globetrotters-Generals contest. Despite chopping away at a 16 point fourth quarter lead, the Cavs just ran out of time ... and Vince Carter lit em up for 38. The team comes back home tonight for a huge game with the Pistons.
