Scott SwerbinskyThe best of the UFC met the best of Pride Fighting last night at UFC 75 as Quentin "Rampage" Jackson defeated Dan Henderson in a very competitive main event.  The event was held in London, and free on tape delay on Spike TV, a nice surprise for MMA fans.  My cousin Spoon recaps the full UFC card for us, as well as the Dan Bobish Classic downtown, which he was ringside for.

Scott SwerbinskyIt's a big night tonight for mixed martial arts fans, as UFC 75 takes place from London, and there's also an excellent card of local fighters duking it out downtown at The Dan Bobish Classic. Predictably, my cuz is all over this like a moustache on a female Stillers fan ... and previews both events for us today in his latest effort.

Scott SwerbinskyThis Saturday at the Plain Dealer Pavilion in Cleveland, one of the most promising local mixed martial arts fighters will be the main event on the NAAFS loaded fight card.  And our resident fight doctor, Scott Swerbinsky, had a chance to interview him on the eve of his big fight.  Scott will also be downtown tomorrow to cover the big night of fights for us, and will also chime in next week with an interview with former big time boxing referee Richard Steele.

Scott SwerbinskyThe legend of Randy Couture just continued to grow last night, as the 44 year old defended his UFC Heavyweight title last night with a dominating win over challenger Gabriel Gonzaga.  The undercard also failed to disappoint as Georges St. Pierre looked ferocious in manhandling up and comer Josh Koscheck, and setting up a rematch with either Matt Serra or Matt Hughes.  Also included in this column is my cousin's recap of Fightfest from Canton Friday night, where he rubbed elblows with fomer Buckeye Robert Smith, who was covering the event for ESPN.

Scott Swerbinsky"UFC: 74 - Respect" is live on pay-per-view tonight, and you know our resident Fight Dr is all lathered up for this thing tonight, and he checks in to preview it for us as he does for all the UFC PPV cards. Tonight's a milestone for me as well, as I officially jump to the dark side and order this thing up, after getting caught up on the last ten or so events on DVD. Couture-Gonzaga headlines it. The Spoon Man tells us about it.
