Dan WismarIn what had been called a "statement game" for Coach Mark Dantonio and Michigan State, it was Jim Tressel's Buckeyes who did all the talking Saturday, as they raced out to a 28-0 halftime lead behind Terrelle Pryor and Chris Wells, and forced five turnovers on defense in a 45-7 rout of the Spartans in East Lansing. Ohio State (7-1, 4-0) remained tied for the Big Ten lead with Penn State, setting up a showdown next Saturday at the Shoe against the unbeaten Nittany Lions. Buckeye Dan recaps the rout for us.

Dan WismarIf there weren't so much at stake in the matchup between Ohio State and Michigan State on Saturday, they could celebrate Old Home Week. The 12th-ranked Buckeyes and the 20th-ranked Spartans will match identical records (6-1, 3-0 in the Big Ten) in a key conference game which is also a reunion of old friends, as MSU head coach Mark Dantonio faces his mentor Jim Tressel for the third time since he left OSU after the 2003 season.

Dan WismarThe Buckeyes took an early 7-0 lead over Purdue with a touchdown off a blocked punt, and then used a stifling defense to hold off the Boilermakers and win their fourth straight game, moving to 6-1 and remaining tied for the Big Ten lead with a 3-0 mark. The OSU offense failed to score a touchdown against the 11th ranked defense in the Big Ten, but still managed to down the Boilermakers 16-3, in a game that may give "winning ugly" a bad name.  Buckeye Dan recaps the win.
