There’s quite a three-ring circus going on in Berea right now. You can catch it twice on weekdays and on the odd Saturday night downtown. Put a tent over Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson and Ken Dorsey and all you need is some elephants, a high wire act and some lady twisting into unimaginable positions while spinning plates on her toes. And according to Brian McPeek, unless something is done to either bring in a legitimate starting QB or Brady Quinn’s learning curve is accelerated, this season is going to be defined by mind-numbing quarterback play.

In his weekly Browns Outsider, Hiko provides us with a detailed quarter by quarter breakdown of the Browns 16-12 win over the Chiefs and found alot to like in the performance.  Hiko astutely notes that outside of two stupid plays by Frye, this game was dominated by the good guys, and the defense showed glimpses of potentially being really good this season.

The Hornless Rhino was at last night's game against the Chiefs, and after reading the PD and ABJ's gloomy accounts of the game ... wondered if he saw the same game they did. What he saw was a pretty solid effort that was much better than last years first exhibition. And while the print mediums chose to focus on two poor decisions by Charlie Frye, the Rhino reminds us that the rest of the effort (by Charlie and the team) was encoraging.
