Mitch Cyrus"Wanted" opened last weekend in theaters with some pretty big hype as a potential summer blockbuster.  It has big named stars (Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, James McAvoy), laughs, gore, non-stop “Matrix” level action, incredible stunts, eye candy galore, and a killer soundtrack.  So we dispatched the trusty Mitch to the theaters to give us the 411 on this one.  Did it deliver?  Or disappoint?  Mitch gives us his thoughts in his latest film review.

Mitch CyrusA couple good releases at the theaters this weekend, both of which we'll be lucky enough to get reviews from Mitch on. "Wanted", a flick about a secret society of assassins, starring James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, and Morgan Freeman. And the kids movie "WALL-E", which is getting rave early reviews as potentially the best Pixar film ever made. Mitch hits on both releases, as well as this week's DVD releases and all the latest Hollywood rumors and buzz in this Friday's Crystal Ball.

Mitch CyrusRemaking television series into movies has led to some of the worst mistakes ever put on celluloid.  For every success like "The Fugitive", you get numerous disasters such as "Starsky and Hutch", "The Dukes of Hazzard", or "Miami Vice".  Remakes of comedies are even worse, as seen in such stinkers as "Bewitched", "Sgt. Bilko", "Dragnet", "McHale's Navy", and "The Beverly Hillbillies".  However, in his latest film review for us, Mitch says they pulled it off with "Get Smart", starring en vogue comedian Steve Carell.

Mitch CyrusSteve Carell's "Get Smart" is the film everyone will be flocking to the theaters to see this weekend, and Mitch will have his review of it over to me this weekend. And after a week of watching nothing but crap, highlighted by seeing a film ("The Happening") that Mitch ranks amongst the worst in film history, Mitch needs it to be good. In this week's Crystal Ball, Mitch hits on all the week's releases at the theater and on DVD, and also fills us in on the latest projects from Robert Downey Jr., Sacha Baron Cohen, and Kevin Spacey.
