Mitch CyrusAs we do with all heavily hyped films, we dispatched our very own Mitch Cyrus to the theaters this past Friday to review "Beowulf", the latest creation of director Robert Zemeckis ... he of "Back To The Future" and "Forrest Gump" fame.  The film employs new CGI technology that has been blowing audiences away, and Mitch says that visually, it's like nothing you've ever seen.  How did he like the film though?  Find out inside.

Mitch Cyrus"Beowulf" is the big hit release at the theaters this weekend, and in addition to teasing it in this week's Crystal Ball, Mitch is off to the theaters tonight to review the film for the front page of the site.  Mitch is predicting good things, and BIG box office number from this one.  "Live Free and Die Hard" is the biggest DVD release, and in the news and rumors section, Mitch also talks about the latest coming project from director Ridley Scott.

Mitch Cyrus"Fred Claus" (starring Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti) and "Lions for Lambs" (a film about the investigation of two Army Rangers left behind enemy lines in Afghanistan) are the two big releases at the theater this weekend.  "Shrek the Third" is the most notable new DVD release.  And in this week's Crystal Ball, Mitch previews all the weeks new releases for all of us out there that like a good flick and need some help finding something good to watch.

Mitch CyrusI can't wait to see this one.  A gangster movie, starring Denzel and Russell Crowe, and directed by Ridley Scott ... he of "Gladiator", "Blackhawk Down", and "Alien".  Mitch says you can lock up Denzel for a Best Actor Oscar nomination from this one, and that it will also warrant "Best Picture" consideration.  It opened STRONG at the box office this past weekend.  What did Mitch think of it?  Find out inside ...
