Mitch Cyrus"The Bucket List" starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman is the highest profile of all the theater releases tonight, all of which Mitch previews for us as he does each Friday in his Crystal Ball column.  Mitch also hits on the new DVD'd to hit the movie stores and Netflix, and in the news section updates on a new project that has Matt Damon playing an American officer in the Green Zone of Iraq, teaming up with a CIA agent to search for evidence of weapons of mass destruction.

Mitch CyrusMitch calls January "the toilet of movie releases", and says not to expect anything different this year.  While 2008 is littered with blockbuster films that will hit the theatres, expect none of significance before Valentine's Day.  We've got a great DVD release this week in "3:10 To Yuma", and Mitch hits on that, as well as the latest projects of Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat) and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) in this week's Crystal Ball.

Mitch CyrusMitch's latest movie review for us here at TCF is on "Sweeney Todd" a flick that Mitch just flat out loved.  It's done by Tim Burton, the man who has turned macabre into an Art Form, and Mitch says that he has found the perfect vehicle for his twisted visions in the form of one of the most violent, bloody, depressing, and beautifully scored musicals to hit the stage.  Mitch says this one isn't for everyone, but that doesn't stop him from giving this film a rating he rarely doles out.
