Last night UFC 104 took place in Los Angeles and the main event has everybody talking. Too bad they are talking for the wrong reasons as there was a very controversial decision in the main event. Lyoto Machida retained his light heavyweight title over Shogun Rua last night but according to my cousin Scott ... he shouldn't have. In his recap of last night's event, Scott talks about the controversial decision and also runs down the rest of the fight card for our readers.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the Staples Center in Los Angeles tonight and has a very nice card in store for fight fans. UFC 104 has the making of one of those cards that sneaks up on people and ends up being one of the better cards in awhile. The main event is for the light heavyweight title and should be a very good entertaining fight. Undefeated champion Lyoto Machida steps in with fellow Brazilian Mauricio "Shogun" Rua. What is being called one of the best events to take place in boxing in quite awhile, got off to a rather questionable start. Fight fans were treated to the first two fights last night in the Super Six Wold Boxing Classic. One ended with a bang and the other with many people scratching their heads. The opening round of the Super 6 World Boxing Classic starts tonight and fight fans everywhere are in for a treat. The Super 6 is a round robin style tournament featuring some of the best fighters in the world at the super middleweight limit of 168 pounds. Mikkel Kessler, Arthur Abraham, Carl Froch, Jermain Taylor, Andre Ward, and Andre Dirrell will all have at least three bouts each, with the fighters totaling the four highest point totals advancing to the semifinal round.
